The double bug is a duel circuit unit of the filanthropoid series created by Ben Houston. We here at folktek have done a lot of pieces within this series, included is the bugs, the insectariums, and various others in the Filanthropoid series. The sound samples speak for themselves! This piece utilizes two circuits that play off each other making it possible to create extemely rich fields of glitch based noise and often harmonic, textural waves.
This piece was built with craftsmanship and durability in mind. Housed in an antique oak finger jointed box. Some of the custom features include, an array of string button/switches that activate different glitch, freezes and chatter, custom made battery pack and hand cast "optic eye" light sensitive controls.
